During this tour, you will be guided by our experienced local guide through 5 different villages of H’mong, Giay, Tay, and Red Dao local ethnic minorities. In particular, we will focus on the traditional communities of the Hmong people – a nation with the unique cultural traditions of Sapa.
You will see traditional houses on the back of the hill, on terraced fields stretching along the ridge. Besides, costumes and traditional instruments of the ethnic groups in Sapa. We are sure you will be surprised by that.
Seeing the natural landscape of Muong Hoa valley, the ecosystem of Hoang Lien National Park is also one of the great things that we want to point to you. Imagine standing in front of a lake on the top of the mountain surrounded by forests, terraces, and small traditional houses of ethnic minorities.

If you are looking for an authentic experience in Sapa, one of our experienced guides will take you to get the Instagram-worthy shot on a trek through some of Sapa’s most beautiful sites and scenery. You will enjoy four days’ hike, including one night stay at the Black Hmong homestay, just outside the bustle of Sapa’s lively center. You will have the chance to admire the most beautiful of terraced rice fields as well as mountains, valleys, and nature.
At 9 AM: Our guide will pick up at your hotel or Notre Dame Cathedral (Sapa’s Church). After a brief introduction, we will take down the Cat Cat’s road. From there, you can see a village of Black Hmong – Cat Cat village, the natural landscapes, the bamboo forest, and admire Fansipan peak – The Roof of Indochina.
At 9:30 AM: Cat Cat village – the traditional community of the Hmong people. Classic beauty, along with the scenery here and the daily life of the people, will help you understand why anyone coming to Sapa wants to visit Cat Cat village. We will visit about 30 minutes, then move to Y Linh Ho.
On the way to Y Linh Ho, you will trek through the bamboo forest, terraced rice and traditional house of Hmong people.
At around 10:45 AM: Arrive Y Linh Ho. In front of you are terraced fields stretching along the mountainside with traditional Hmong’s houses. You can take some great pictures with your team and enjoy the atmosphere.
Then, we will have lunch at a small, traditional restaurant ran by a local Hmong family.
After lunch, we will make it to Lao Chai village. Everything so amazing, it is Hmong’s house, terraced rice, and from there, you can see Muong Hoa valley – the biggest valley of Sapa town and Muong Hoa river. In Lao Chai village, you can learn about more wedding customs of local people.
At 2 PM: Arrive Homestay. You will then have some time to rest, take a hot shower, and get ready for your dinner – if you want, you will also have the chance to take part in an informal cooking class!
At 7 AM: Wake up and personal hygiene. You can watch the sunrise and enjoy breakfast, morning coffee. You will see the activities of people and understand more about their lives.
At 9 AM: You will trek up to Lao Chai San village through the terraced rice and forest to Seo My Ty village. About 1.5 hours away, you will reach the highest point to see the Muong Hoa valley. It will be great when we have a panoramic view of Sapa look down from the peak.
At 11 AM: You will trek through the meadow to the forest and see the animals there, they are goats, cows, and buffalo, etc.
Here, you can see the wilderness of mountains and forests, admire the grandeur and richness of the ecosystem of Hoang Lien National Park. Not only that, you’ll see hundreds of years old trees, though dead and leaving only the stump, is truly beautiful as a work of nature.
At 12:30 AM: We have a picnic lunch on the grassy hill of the mountain. Have lunch and enjoy the landscapes.
1:30 AM: After lunch, trek down along the mountain. After 30 minutes, you can see a small village around a large lake in the middle of Hoang Lien Son mountain. This is the Seo My Ty village. You will be surprised at its beauty.
At 3 PM: We will arrive Seo My Ty village. We can sail on the lake, catch fish, and cook dinner with local people if you want. Then, rest, take a shower, and have dinner.
At 7:30 AM: Wake up and watch the sunrise on the mountain. Then enjoy breakfast and morning coffee or tea.
At 9 AM: We’ll continue the trek to Seo Trung Ho village – a village of Red Dao people.
To get there, you will have to go through a forest trail and then follow a dirt road. Going about 1.5 hours to 2 hours, you will reach the water pipeline of Seo Trung Trung Ho hydroelectricity. From here, you can see the village of Su Pan, Ban Ho, Seo Trung Ho, and the nature view of Sapa. After that, we will walk down the ridge to the Hmong village and have lunch here. Then we will walk to the Red Dao village and take a rest there.
At 1:30 – 2 PM: We will arrive Seo Trung Ho, a village of Red Dao people. We will overnight in a homestay, to learn about the customs and traditions of the Red Dao people.
This is the last day of the experience. We will continue hiking with it easier road. We will walk through Ma Quai Ho, a small Hmong village and lunch at Ban Ho.
At 9 AM: We will start walking the remaining roads. In a remaining way, you will also see the difference between the villages of the Dao, Hmong, and Tay people.
At 11:30 AM: Arrive Ban Ho village and eat lunch here.
At 1:30 PM: After lunch, transportation will be waiting for you to bring you back to Sapa.
At 2 PM – 3:pm: You’ll arrive in Sapa town. End of the tour.
